How I understand it.

Agility is the capacity to sense a change and respond quickly. It relies on useful information reaching people who have the authority and resources to act. Adaptability concerns larger changes to the operating model as customers, technology and supply conditions evolve. It can involve changing the network of partners, locations or capabilities the business uses. Alignment concerns the incentives and responsibilities across that network. Each participant needs a reason to support the overall outcome. Review these capabilities separately because strength in one can conceal weakness in another. A fast response may still use an outdated network, while capable partners may pursue conflicting targets. Measure the customer’s complete experience and examine how each participant contributes to it.
