02 · The idea

How I understand it.

Alex Hormozi’s value equation is a practical prompt for designing an offer. Start with the outcome the customer cares about. Then examine the evidence that gives them confidence, the time before they receive something useful, and the work they must do along the way. These four questions reveal places to improve the actual service and explain it clearly. A faster first result, a simpler setup or a credible demonstration can change how an offer is experienced. Treat the equation as a business heuristic. It supplies questions to investigate; pricing and demand still need evidence from customers. Keep promises specific and supported. An attractive offer also needs delivery costs, capacity and customer expectations that the business can sustain.

03 · A fictional example

Put it into a business.

A bookkeeping service promises clearer monthly accounts. Prospects worry about switching systems and gathering old receipts. The team offers a sample report, a defined migration checklist and an initial reconciliation within an agreed window. It tests whether those changes improve qualified enquiries, onboarding completion and delivery hours. The figures determine which parts of the offer it keeps.
